Until Kickball becomes a juried exhibition, like that of gymnastics or cheerleading, one must continue to work her or his magic within the paradigm. Such an effort ability is cheerleading for both teams, simultaneously, at all points. “For what is a man profited if he may gain the whole world, but of his life suffer loss? or what shall a man give as exchange for his life?” Matthew 16:26 Young’s Literal translation.
Therefore, the performance art of kickball is fun and energy, solidarity and human connection, not divisional conquest and continual disconnection. Such is the uphill battle that is the Myth of Sysiphus.
